Office of the Chancellor Web Committee
Charter
Purpose:
Provide improved web services from the Office of the Chancellor (OOC) to web customers and stakeholders. The Office of the Chancellor Web Committee was established to address web issues related to the Office of the Chancellor websites including information architecture. The Committee is proposed to redefine the roles and responsibilities of the Office of the Chancellor website management and development. This includes managing relationship with other committees and groups involved in OOC website design and maintenance. Members of the Committee represent OOC's primary business functions.
Scope:
The scope of the Committee includes the proposed reorganization of the design, navigation, and information architecture of all the OOC websites under a single framework and design with content submitted and maintained by experts in each content area. Committee recommendations will include:
- allocating and sharing of web resources;
- web tool review and selection;
- establishing information architecture design guidelines (recommending secure, public, extranet and intranet site definitions);
- establishing guidelines to enforce web policies and standards;
- advise the portal project team on Enterprise Information Portal (EIP) and information distribution;
- advise web project and information owners on project issues.
