The Operations group is a unit of Information Technology Services and is responsible for the operation and support of the ITS data center on a 5 day 24 hour schedule. They monitor daily data database and file backup processes to ensure that critical data can be restored in the event of an emergency. The also monitor the local and wide-area networks promptly reporting problems to the appropriate support group.
