Identity Management
The Identity Management (IdM) project involves the establishment of a single digital identity for all persons associated with Minnesota State Colleges and Universities - for use by electronic-delivered applications requiring person authentication and authorization. IdM information will be housed in a common, central directory service and replicated as necessary to support approved user applications on a 365+ day/year, 24 hours/day basis.
Phase 1 of the project focussed on enterprise-wide delivered applications that will leverage this common IdM data and looked at developing policies to promote common business practices for IdM areas, such as 'enrollment' and 'ownership' of IdM data items.
Phase 1 is complete.
