Monitoring Tools
One of the primary contributing factors to the performance of the applications is the stateof network availability or the network uptime. Towards the goal of providing highavailability of mission critical applications, MnSCu ITS has initiated multiple projects targeted to address the various factors that influence the network uptime.
The specific objectives identified for this project are:
1) acquire tools to monitor/measure/detect the health of applications, servers, services and network
2) Investigate and improve the mean time to repair problems by
- decreasing the problem detection and diagnose time
- implementing an integrated approach for monitoring, detection
classification and resolution
