Oracle Conversion ISRS
This effort is to renovate and re-platform our current ISRS administrative system including student records, finance and hr, due to obsolescence of the current technology platform so that when vendor support for these soon to be discontinued products is dropped, we can continue to function.
This project is to ?Fundamentally retool? the database component of ISRS from a HP VMS RDB into an Oracle Sun environment. The ISRS conversion project is the foundation project for all future major system upgrades.
Moving our databases into a Sun Oracle environment sets the stage for other major projects like the HR web conversion project other web conversions as well as reporting and accessibility improvements.
The current plan is a one year effort targeted for final delivery in February 2008. The ISRS Rollout will impact all ISRS users although since these are infrastructure only changes, users will see no changes in how their daily work is performed.
