Uniface to J2EE Accounting
AC Module J2EE Conversion
As part of the ITS Strategic Investment Plan for FY 2007 (Goal # 4), an initiative has been defined to migrate all ISRS Uniface applications to the open standards technology platform currently used as the development language for ISRS web applications. The new language, J2EE, is in common use in the market place, it requires no end user licensing and it provides functionality to develop graphical, work-flow driven applications for the web.
Object Partners, Inc. was selected as vendor to work with MnSCU resources to implement the conversion of the HR (SCUPPS) module by late (November/December) 2007. OPI is now working with Finance division and ITS staff to convert the AC (Accounting) module and supporting transactions to J2EE. The conversion of the accounting module provides a foundation for the future conversion and more effective integration of other finance-related ISRS modules.
