INFO101: Information Security Concepts Part 1
Description:
The 3-hour, self-paced online course introduces you to the ten domains of information security, a popular classification of information security areas. You will learn about the security triad, and types of controls that are commonly implemented to protect the enterprise. You will also learn about the strategy of layered security and be able to classify threats and countermeasures by layer. Specifically covers five of the ten domains: Access Control; Application Security; Operations Security; Cryptography; and Telecommunications & Network Security.
Prerequisite: Employment in an ITS capacity within the MnSCU system.

INFO102: Information Security Concepts Part 2
Description:
The 3-hour, self-paced online course continues introducing you to the ten domains of information security, a popular classification of information security areas. You will pick up where INFO101 left off, covering the remaining five domains of information security as defined by the ISC2 organization: Information Security & Risk Management; Security Architecture & Design; Legal, Regulations, Compliance & Investigations; Physical & Environmental Security; and Business Continuity Planning & Disaster Recovery.
Recommended Prerequisites or previous knowledge: Employment in any IT/IS capacity
